NATURAL HISTORY

Coming from Africa, Jenny has grown up with wildlife. Her knowledge and passion for animals, plus her work on a number of Natural History films, has led her to assess how wildlife film-making can fit into the repertoire of True Nature Films. In keeping with the ethos of the company, the films will be entertaining with a strong conservation message.

Safari Yetu

Alongside films for the western market, True Nature Films is developing a high-end series of natural history films targeting African nations. The aim of the films is to nurture a front-line generation of African conservators. Wildlife Clubs of Kenya, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Nature Kenya and the East African Wildlife Society will be amongst the organisations who will distribute, and benefit from, these films in Kenya. We are currently looking for funding partners for this initiative.

The Festival Of The Flying Fox

A 52 minute documentary in development on the largest migration of mammals in Africa. 8 million straw-coloured fruit bats arrive in a tiny swamp forest for two months every year. No one knows where they come from, where they go to, and why they should annually focus on this tiny corner of Africa. Using story-telling techniques that will capture the essence of the heart of Africa, while unveiling the cutting edge of science behind this investigation, the film shall unravel the facts behind this phenomenal natural history mystery.
